1st Douglas Scout group were established in 1909 and currently remain the oldest, continuous scout group in the Isle of Man

Based at their scout hall in Demesne Road, Douglas, the group is formed of two beaver colonies, two cub packs and a scout troop.  The Douglas Explorer unit also meet at the hall.

Subs are currently set at £25 per school term.  If you have multiple children in the group, you pay £20 price for all older siblings.  For example, if you have one child in Beavers, and one in Cubs, you pay £25 to Beavers, and £20 to Cubs.

If there is any reason why paying on a termly basis is a problem, please see one of the leaders.  Please note that subs are not refundable in whole or part if your child chooses to leave the Group.

Some other activities, such as camps, are also charged separately.


Uniform can be purchased from the Scout and Guide Trading post at 60-62 Murrays Road, Douglas.  The shop is open Tuesday 17:30-19:30, Saturday 10:00-12:00 and 14:00-16:00.
