1st Douglas Scout Group was formed in 1907 and is the oldest,continuous group on the Isle of Man We have our own Scout Hall,located just off Demesne Road,which is available for hire at the weekends. Click here for more information about hiring the hall.
Dear Parents / Guardians
We are holding our AGM and Family Fun Night on July 15th at Douglas Rugby Club Port ee Chee Meadow. The evening will start at 7 p.m. The business of the 1st Douglas Scout Group will take approximately 30 minutes.
The purpose of the AGM is to receive the reports from the 5 sections and from the Treasurer. We also elect the lay members for Executive committee at this meeting. The Executive Committee is very important to the Group as it allows the leaders to concentrate on the Scouting side of the Group. If you are interested in being nominated for our committee please get in touch with me at the above.
The remainder of the evening will be devoted to a family sports evening and barbecue. (Please inform your section leader or e-mail above if you are attending,for catering purposes). The club bar will also be open. If wet then we will be holding an indoor family quiz.
Entrance will 50p per person at the door (children must be accompanied by an adult) and burgers and hot dogs will be available to purchase during the evening.

Tesco Vouchers for Clubs and Schools
Martin Hazell (ACSL Cushag Pack):March 13,2011 12:07 am:General,GroupWe are collecting the Tesco vouchers for Clubs and Schools again this year. If you (or friends and family) would like to support the group,please hand in any vouchers you collect to a leader,or place in the box in the Scout Hall.
Last year we collected approximately 1,800 vouchers and were able to get tabards for using in football and sports.
Keep checking back for an update on how many we have collected.
