In 1925 the Scouts of the Isle of Man were honoured by a visit from Lord Hampton, D.S.O., Chief Commissioner of the Boy Scout Movement. During his stay on the Island His Lordship came to the Headquarters of the 1st Douglas Troop and after a careful inspection of the Scouts present and of the work done, expressed himself as well pleased with the smart appearance of the boys and with the efficiency of the Scoutcraft he had witnessed.
