Bunk House

Restoration Project

1st Douglas has our own Bunkhouse. It is situated in East Baldwin, which is about 5 miles from Douglas. It can be found at the following grid reference OS Landranger No. 95, SC369-829.

This is the Front of our Bunkhouse
This is the back of the Bunkhouse, as you can see it has no window.
This is the side view of our Bunkhouse, the wooden hut is what is left of the toilets, the toilet have been taken out due to sheep being in the field.
This picture is of the inside of over Bunkhouse, it is showing the sleeping area		This picture is showing a view looking from the Bunks to front door.
In the corner surrounded by a safety guard is what is left of our fire.		This is the cooker which still works, just being moved so that we can get the old heating pipes of the wall/
The above pictures show the top bunk, this is where the leaders normally sleep

 

We have not started any restoration work on our bunk house, We have not enough funds to start doing any work, as we have just built an extension and revamped our Scout Hall.
