'Neil Simpson This is Your Life'

Julie Maddrell Assistant Island Commissioner for Ventures Scouts Presents Neil Simpson with his Queen's Scout Award |
The presentation of Neil Simpson Queen's Scout Award was held down at our Scout Hall. Neil did not know anything about this presentation it was all organised by Anne Atkinson Cub Scout Leader of 1st Douglas Tynwald Pack Cubs. Anne made this a surprise presentation by telling Neil it was a 1st Douglas 90th Anniversary Group Picture this was the only way they could get Neil in full uniform during the summer. When Neil came in the Hall every body from 1st Douglas who new Neil was all ready down and waiting for him to enter the hall and even his Dad and his Brother were there. As he entered the hall, all he herd was "your late!". Neil's Girl friend Sarah had the hard job of keeping me away from the hall before the usual start time, this is because Neil always comes down early to let the Cubs come in.Sarah's Mum had a part to play in this by picking me up and taking me on all sorts of messages before going to their house to get Sarah.
When Neil entered the Hall he was greeted by Anne Atkinson who escorted him down the hall to wear there was a special chair waiting. once very body was quite in the Hall Anne Atkinson turn to Neil and said Neil Simpson "This is your Life".
