Manx National Anthem

O land of our Birth

O gem of God's earth

O lsland so strong and so fair

Built firm as Barrule

Thy throne of home rule

Makes us free as thy sweet mountain air

The Island has the World's oldest parliamentary body called Tynwald, with over 1,000 years of unbroken rule.

Tynwald is comprised of two chambers, the Legislative Council and the House of Keys, and is responsible for the passing of domestic legislation and the levying of taxes.
