NorJam 99

This year the Unit's annual holiday involved attending NorJam 99 which turned out to be a well organised and pleasant camp.

The Unit would like to thank Danny and his crew from our sub-camp STARGATE for a well run sub-camp and to Gary Burfield and his Team at the International Centre for all their help. I hope everyone enjoyed the kippers and 'Manx Spirit'

During the week the Sub Camp organisers produced 'Gossip From The Gate'

Due to person(s) nicking the Unit's Manx Flag the following was submitted.

The Manx (Isle of Man) contingent have a message for Mr B'stard (first name Robin) to return their flag.

David submitted the following thank you after his 19th birthday.

David Kinsella (IOM) would like to thank all his supporters, especially the ones who carried him back to his tent, for a wonderful birthday.

Lonely flagpole seeks relationship with mature flag. Must be red and have three legs. All offers to the Isle of Man Venture Scouts.

During the week a number of items went missing aroung the camp much to the despair of the organisers. Most items were never returned including the Unit's flag. I hope at future camps SCOUTS get out of the habit of nicking other Unit's possessions.
